Mr. Talal Al Yousuf

Mr. Talal Al -Yousuf has been in the position of the Assets Management Deputy Manager since June 2016 with over 20 years of experience in operations and investment, including Investment Portfolios, Mutual and Private Equity Funds.

Since joining Al Safat Investment Company he set out to develop a plan to restructure the discretionary investment portfolios. He initiated a new strategy to maximize profits and minimize risks which has paid off with an outstanding performance that in some years outperformed the market index. These new strategy and policy have as well reduced the investments risks especially those associated with Covid Pandemic.

In addition to the financial and technical analysis reports he provides, he presents a weekly TV interview on CNBC Arabic to analyses the Kuwait stock market.

He started his career in year 2000 at Kuwait Real Estate Bank (Kuwait International Bank Currently) in operation department of which during the period worked in several teams to convert the bank’s operations to comply with the Sharia laws. Afterwards he joined Al Madina Investment Company to manage the operations and settlements of stock market tradings. In year 2011 he became a Portfolio Manager trading in the local and regional markets, and shortly afterwards he has been appointed as the Investment Funds Department Manager to manage the company’s Mutual and Private Equity funds that includes trading in India Stock Exchange. He managed to maximize the funds profits and restored the losses occurred due to the financial crisis in 2008, and resumed profits distribution which has stopped for few years. He also restructured the private equity fund’s assets to avoid the clients from further losses.

Mr. Talal Al-Yousuf holds a bachelor degree in Economics from the AOU, and an MBA with emphasis in Strategic Management from Maastricht Business School, in addition to several professional diplomas in Islamic Banking, Islamic Finance, and IT. Currently he is forming a plan to apply for the PHD in Management.
